Three musicians from the ranks of the Vienna Philharmonic, an international cello soloist and an exceptional pianist combine their sound aesthetics, phrasing and virtuosity with modern expressive dynamics to create a unique musical world in which old and new merge into radiant harmony. In addition to the classical-virtuoso line, the ensemble embarks on a fascinating journey through a wide variety of eras and styles. Among the rare instruments of the top-class quintet is an Antonio Stradivari violin (1724) on loan from the Austrian National Bank.

Ensemble leader Tibor KOVAC performs internationally both as a soloist and as a chamber musician. His stage partners include the pianists Lang Lang and Lambert Orkis, as well as the singers Thomas Hampson and Bobby McFerrin. Kovac plays a violin by Antonio Stradivari from 1724 on loan from the Austrian National Bank.
