New trends in music are currently trending under imaginative names, and the categories of fusion and crossover are constantly expanding. But the classically trained Janoska Ensemble transcends all boundaries with its polyglot musical language. Their debut CD, which achieved gold status within a few months, is aptly titled "JANOSKA STYLE" (Deutsche Grammophon 2016). Her album "REVOLUTION" from 2019 also went gold. The third album entitled "THE BIG B's" was released in 2022. The fourth album on Deutsche Grammophon entitled "THE FOUR SEASONS" is in preparation (release October 2024).
Summarizing the special quality of the Janoska arrangements in a few words is no easy task: these are simultaneous excursions into classical terrain and into far-flung areas of the musical repertoire, in which the musicians use their spontaneous creativity to create first-class, innovative and stirring music that lives and breathes. These incomparably audience-oriented transformations come from three brothers from Bratislava - Ondrej and Roman Janoska on violins and František Janoska on piano - together with their Konstanz-born brother-in-law Julius Darvas on double bass.
