Solo program

Philipp Hochmair - Werther!

Philipp Hochmair
Nicolas Stemann

PROGRAM

Philipp Hochmair played "Jedermann" at Salzburg Cathedral Square, St. Stephen's Cathedral and the Burgtheater. The actor, film and television star comes to Taggenbrunn with his solo program "Werther!".

Werther! has been on a successful tour since 1997. A youthful stroke of genius by the two theater artists. The low-budget production has made it from the classroom in Nuremberg to the Burgtheater in Vienna, with guest performances abroad from Moscow to Bogotá.

"Tragicomic, howlingly funny, free and angry, the Goethe text becomes the vehicle for a dynamic journey through time that brings a historical dimension into our private, history-less present. Stemann and Hochmair have proven themselves to be excellent Werther exploiters." (Theater der Zeit)

"Stemann's "Werther" hits the nerve of the times without betraying the text. It is a great pleasure to watch him for an hour." (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung)

"A bridge between Sturm und Drang and the attitude to life of today's youth. Werther's ego trip is a journey of discovery that is worthwhile." (Nürnberger Zeitung)

"A great moment with a star" (Neue Züricher Zeitung)
