When Thomas Quasthoff performs his new program "My Favourite Songs", he is one thing above all: absolutely authentic. Once celebrated as a world-famous opera and lieder singer, bass-baritone Thomas Quasthoff ended his unprecedented career in 2012 by winning three Grammys and seven ECHOs. Since then, he has effortlessly bridged the boundaries of classical music, jazz, pop and spoken word with his incomparable voice.
Quasthoff has already wowed audiences at London's Wigmore Hall and the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg with his "Favorite Songs" from George Gershwin to Ray Brown and John Lennon. In 2025, Thomas Quasthoff will open the Taggenbrunn Festival with his own very special selection of songs.

The Johann Strauss Ensemble of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra celebrates the 200th birthday of Johann Strauss son in 2025 with a musical greeting from Vienna. The symphony orchestra will present the Taggenbrunn festival audience with the lively masterpieces of the Waltz King, as well as compositions by Franz Lehár, Emmerich Kálmán and other greats of Viennese operetta, who have brought the spirit of the Strauss dynasty to life in their own pieces.
Special guests include soprano Iva Schell, who was a brilliant member of the Leipzig Opera for many years, and baritone Thomas Tatzl, who is celebrated in Vienna, Paris and New York.

The band project "Alpen & Glühen", initiated by the internationally renowned trumpet virtuoso and stylistic jack-of-all-trades Thomas Gansch, brings together outstanding musicians who blend their diverse musical influences into a unique body of sound. Folk music meets jazz, filigree music-making meets rousing improvisations, humorous grooves meet Indian ragas.
With the Grammy-nominated musician Manu Delago, the Klagenfurt-born frontman of jazz high-flyers Shake Stew Lukas Kranzelbinder and the creative radio.string.quartet, the ensemble has played completely sold-out and acclaimed concerts in recent years, including at Taggenbrunn Castle in 2023. On their return to the Taggenbrunn Festival, the accordion virtuoso Christian Bakanic enriches the project with new, powerful sound facets.

The fantastic musicians of the Berlin and Vienna Philharmonic share a deep passion for music that goes far beyond the classical repertoire. In their brilliant new versions, they interpret jazz, Latin, Jewish folk music, Hollywood melodies and pop in a unique way. Whether they are reworking pop songs or Viennese songs, playing Prokofiev or Tchaikovsky, Gershwin or Piazzolla - classical music could not be more varied, entertaining or clever. The members of the ensemble have won numerous prizes and major classical music competitions. But when the Philharmonix are on stage together, both the audience and the music win!

Antonio Vivaldi's immortal work "The Four Seasons", published in Venice in 1725, is one of the most famous and beautiful compositions in music history. To mark its 300th anniversary, the Taggenbrunn Festival presents this iconic work with star violinist Yury Revich, ECHO Klassik prizewinner and winner of the International Classical Music Award, as soloist and accompanied by his ensemble "MY Sounds Vienna".
This musical journey through the course of the year is accompanied by sonnets that Vivaldi himself wrote and prefaced his concerto movements - impressively performed by actor and audience favorite Gedeon Burkhard.

Together with their band under the direction of Christian Frank, Austria's three most successful musical stars present the greatest hits of their careers, including Dance of the Vampires, Elisabeth, I am from Austria, Mozart, Evita and Romeo & Juliet.
Mark Seibert is a celebrated star of numerous musical productions in German-speaking countries. Missy May is a versatile talent in acting, presenting and singing. Lukas Perman, known from major Viennese musicals and the TV show Dancing Stars, returns to the stage of the Taggenbrunn Festival after his great success last year as the audience's favorite in "The Gentlemen of Swing".
